1. Production process of carbon fiber drone board
Carbon fiber processed sheets are often used in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles. Some drone models have bodies, blades, covers, and other areas made of processed carbon fiber sheets. The assembly of CNC processed carbon fiber boards is more convenient and the production cost is lower than that of shaped carbon fiber parts, because carbon fiber processed boards can usually be directly processed together with finished boards, which can save mold costs.
Of course, carbon fiber processing boards also need to be formed at the beginning. The production volume of sheet metal is relatively large, so after sharing the mold cost, the mold cost is relatively low. Our factory can provide finished boards with regular thickness for customers to choose from. Usually, we have stock sheets with a thickness of 1mm to 30mm. When customers design the thickness of the drone board, it is best to choose our existing carbon fiber board for direct processing to avoid reopening the mold to produce carbon fiber board due to thickness and size issues.

1.1. Carbon fiber cloth cutting
Used for cutting carbon fiber cloth. We will cut pre impregnated carbon fiber cloth according to the length and width of the customer's product. Carbon fiber cloth can be of different types such as 3k/6k/12k. Customers can choose suitable fabrics for production according to their own needs. Generally speaking, 3K carbon fiber prepreg fabric is the most common material, and all of our fabrics are prepreg resin fabrics, which can improve production efficiency. The number of layers for laying carbon fiber cloth depends on the thickness of the product. For example, like 1mm 3K carbon fiber board, typically 2 layers of 3K carbon fiber prepreg and 4 layers of unidirectional carbon fiber pre embedded material are required. The specific number of layers is still subject to the actual situation, and our engineers will make a judgment on the number of layers.

1.2. Carbon fiber cloth paving
In the production process of carbon fiber cloth paving, the strength of carbon fiber will vary according to the requirements of tension and strength of the board, and the paving sequence of carbon fiber pre impregnation should be designed reasonably. The commonly used stacking directions are 0°, ±45°and 90°. Select the angle orientation based on the load type to maximize the performance of the fiber in the axial direction.
 

1.3. Mold solidification
Clamp the laminated carbon fiber board, put it into the press, and adjust the temperature, time and pressure. If the mold temperature is high, the flowability of the material will be better and the curing speed will be accelerated. However, if the temperature is too high, the curing methods of the inner and outer layers will be different, leading to product expansion and deformation. If the temperature is too low, the strength of the product will decrease. Pressure can tightly close the mold, densify the material, and ensure material flow. Time is the time for insulation and pressurization to ensure sufficient time to complete curing.

1.4. Shape and hole processing
After the sheet is formed, we will cut the sheet according to the shape of the product based on the 3D drawings provided by the customer. If there are holes, they should also be machined with a lathe according to the drawing requirements. Generally speaking, carbon fiber holes cannot be tapped, so if the customer needs to tap, we will use resin adhesive on the screw sleeve according to the customer's material requirements. Screw sleeve materials are usually brass, aluminum, steel, etc., and customers can choose according to their own needs.
1.5. surface coating
After completing the shape and hole processing, we will perform surface treatment on the product. Generally speaking, in order to make carbon fiber drone panels more aesthetically pleasing, we choose transparent matte varnish and transparent bright varnish for painting. Considering that carbon fiber inorganic panels are mainly used for outdoor use that requires extreme weather resistance, our varnish is UV resistant. If customers also have requirements for high temperature resistance, we can also provide high temperature resistant coatings, but the price may be slightly different.

2. Processing of carbon fiber automotive tailboards
In addition to using carbon fiber processed panels in the field of drones, another industry with relatively high usage frequency is the automotive industry, such as carbon fiber tailboards. The production process of carbon fiber tail board is similar to that of drone carbon fiber panel. The reasons why people like to use carbon fiber processing boards to assemble the rear of cars are as follows:
2.1. Low density, light weight, high specific strength. The density of carbon fiber is 1.5~2g/cm ³, which is equivalent to 1/4 of the density of steel and 1/2 of the density of aluminum alloy. Its specific strength is 16 times that of steel and 12 times that of aluminum alloy.
2.2. High intensity. Its tensile strength can reach 3000-4000MPa, and its elasticity is 4-5 times that of steel and 6-7 times that of aluminum.
2.3. High elastic modulus.
2.4. The coefficient of thermal expansion is small, the thermal conductivity decreases with increasing temperature, and it is resistant to quenching and rapid heating. Even if it suddenly drops from a high temperature of several thousand degrees to room temperature, it will not burst.
2.5. Good resistance to high and low temperatures. Carbon fiber can be used at 2000 ° C and will not melt or soften at 3000 ° C in a non oxidizing atmosphere. At a low temperature of -180 ° C, steel is more brittle than glass, while carbon fiber remains soft and not brittle.
