Introduction to Oxidized PAN Fibers

Oxidized polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers do not burn, melt, soften, or drip. As an internationally recognized non combustible textile fiber industry standard, it can be used in many different fields as an effective fire and insulation material. Its LOI value is greater than 45%, significantly higher than the LOI values of other fibers, and meets the combustion level S-a of DIN 66083.

The best fibers for textile technology

Our oxidized PAN fibers have a wide range of applications and can be easily used in various textile processes to produce high-performance, economical, flame retardant, and insulating fabrics. We provide continuous tow, curled and non curled short fibers, as well as milled fibers of different fiber diameters, lengths, densities, and sizes

Features

1. LOI value>45%

2. Excellent fire prevention level

3. High temperature resistance

4. Optimize textile processing

5. Ideal mixing and processing behavior

Curled PAN fibers

PAN

Curled PAN fibers are made from continuous fiber bundles. They provided a special size to enhance cohesion. In addition, the carefully optimized curl level ensures the continuous and reliable operation of the combing process, with good productivity. Curled short fibers have multiple lengths to choose from to adapt to different non-woven processes and equipment.

Non curled staple PAN fibers

Non curled staple fibers are used for composite and molding applications, providing a textured surface appearance for internal components in automotive, railway, and ship applications. In addition to improving the aesthetics of these surfaces, PAN fibers also enhance the fire resistance and chemical resistance of these components.

Milled PAN fibers

Milled fibers for friction-intensive applications

Milled PAN fibers are used as harmless and heat-resistant organic fiber fillers for brake and friction materials. These fibers are excellent substitutes for hazardous materials such as asbestos. Typical applications include electric brake pads, high-performance sports car brake pads, train brake pads, and elevator friction pads.

Typical uses

PAN Fibers can form short cut fibers through cutting and processing, which can be spun into yarn and then machine woven into fire-resistant fabric

In the automotive industry, pan fiber is widely used in the manufacturing of engine components, and its excellent high-temperature resistance can be used in the engine compartment of automobiles. The flame-retardant insulation materials and brake discs used in high-speed trains and airplanes in people's daily lives are also the same. This type of carbon brake disc has superior braking performance and wear resistance compared to ordinary metal materials, and has a longer service life.

In terms of car interior, PAN fiber has also played an important role. It is used to manufacture materials for car seats, carpets, and interior decoration. This material not only has a beautiful appearance, but also has excellent heat resistance and flame retardancy, which can effectively prevent fire risks and improve the comfort and safety of cars.

In addition to fire protection applications, customized pan fiber products can also be applied in the field of electrode materials for large energy storage batteries. In the future, this new material will continue to demonstrate its capabilities in more fields.
