Product Description of twill weave carbon fiber
Our company has advanced carbon fiber fabric production lines, which can produce fabrics in various forms such as plain, twill, and unidirectional. The mechanical properties of the fabric are stable, without fibers, color difference, regular patterns, and easy to be soaked by resin. It can be used as an appearance and reinforcement fabric, and is widely used in the fields of rail transit, sports, automobiles, and medical equipment.

Advantages of twill weave carbon fiber
Twill and plain weave refer to the fiber weaving method of carbon fiber cloth. In general, twill carbon fiber cloth is denser than plain carbon fiber cloth.
In twill carbon fiber cloth, fibers are spun at an angle to form a series of intersecting fibers. This weaving method makes the fibers more tightly intertwined, increasing the density of the fabric. This density increases the contact area between fibers, thereby enhancing the strength and stiffness of the material.
In contrast, the fibers of plain carbon fiber cloth are woven horizontally and vertically, forming an interwoven grid structure. This weaving method leaves more gaps between the fibers, making the fabric relatively thin and loose.
Therefore, twill carbon fiber cloth is usually denser than plain carbon fiber cloth. However, for specific application requirements, the open texture structure of plain carbon fiber cloth may be more suitable, as it can provide better flexibility and deformation ability. The choice of weaving method for carbon fiber cloth should be determined based on specific application requirements.
Relatively speaking, you can also understand it that way. It would be better to wrap or cover some irregular parts with twill fabric due to the influence of the weaving method. But strictly speaking, it is still the control of product quality itself. The smaller the weight, the finer the carbon fiber, which is relatively denser.

Typical Uses of twill weave carbon fiber
This fabric is suitable for use in wet-lay, vacuum bagging and resin infusion manufacture. For maximum performance it should be used with a suitable epoxy resin system.
- Layup and Infusion Process
- Closed Mold Infusion (RTM)
- Composite Manufacturing
- Bonding of Layered Composites
- Ideal for aerospace, UAVs, competition auto and marine, and light industrial applications.
- For added conformability, lay up the fabric at a 45-degree bias inside molds.
- Great for making rigid precision parts with no bulk
